1:1 and BYOT
At the start of the 2014-2015 school year, Dobie High School 9th grade teachers and students will participate in a 1:1 roll out program. Currently, all 7th and 8th grade students at Thompson and Beverly Hills are participating in a 1:1 program at their campuses. The vision of Pasadena ISD is to continue the 1:1 integration program with students through their high school experience to ensure they are learning and thriving using tools that they will have access to in their future. Beginning in the Spring 2013 students will able to bring wireless devices, such as tablets (Samsung Galaxy iPad), cell phones, laptops, eReaders (Kindle, Nook), etc., to use in the classroom for instructional use. By allowing students to use their own devices, Pasadena ISD believes that students and teachers can maximize their instructional experience by utilizing devices and applications with which they are already familiar. BYOT will foster innovation in teaching and and learning. Click on the button to learn more.
